So you’re in your second semester of senior year of high school…you’ve gotten into the college of your choice. You spend your days after school sleeping, eating and maybe hanging out with your friends for a final hurrah.

The “white rapper” of your high school didn’t get into college–he didn’t even apply. He spends every day after school writing, practicing his flow, and mapping out his career. A career that no one else believes in but him. Music-video series. Conceptual mixtapes. Generational commentary.

Who do you think is going to be more successful?

I’m gonna go ahead and say this past summer was officially the Summer of Mac Miller. The teen phenom graduated high school, put out the best series of music videos I have ever seen solely marketed to the Internet, got signed to Rostrum Records, and released one of the dopest and most popular mixtapes of the year, K.I.D.S. I highly encourage all readers to check out the mixtape and form their own opinion.
