When you release a single giving ode to Black Chukkas, you know you’re going to get love from blogs and fans alike. But Gilbere Forte doesn’t do it for the hype. He does it because he’s a unique artist. An individual. And those are the type of artists we like at Life Changing Apparel.

Ladies and gentleman, the Life Changing Interview x Gilbere Forte.

LCA: Who or what inspired you to start making music?

Gilbere Forte: I was inspired to make music because of the way it made me feel. It was a feeling I could never find the words to describe. I grew up listening to all types of music and it was so purifying. So I wanted to share my experience with the world. Music is the voice, to my mission. I want to be living proof that the impossible is in fact possible. Living out my imagination and motivating others to do the same.

LCA: How do you see your style as being different than other artists on the scene right now?

Gilbere Forte: The type of music I make is emotion driven. The purpose of my sound is to engage the listener. In contrast to the music of today, I’m making music for tomorrow, next-week, next month, and the next life. It’s who I am as a person and why I’m here is the story that I’m telling with these songs.

LCA: What has been the single most Life Changing moment that affected your music?

Gilbere Forte: My life changed when my imagination became my reality. Ever since I realized I’m a product of the lucid dream, my music became that more gratifying.

LCA: What other project’s are you working on right now?

Gilbere Forte: As of right now, my most recent project “87 Dreams,” currently available on iTunes. Lately I’ve been working on several projects. Some are slated to release sooner than others. The most current project I’m working on is a 7-8 song EP, I’m collaboratively doing with Producer/DJ Don Cannon. I am also in the studio working with King Britt for an upcoming EP.

LCA: What other artist’s would you like to collaborate with?

Gilbere Forte: Hammock, Bob Sinclar Sigur Ros Explosion’s In The Sky, and Lykke Li.

LCA: If you could change one thing in the world right now, what would it be?

Gilbere Forte: We as a people control more than we realize, and we have nothing to fear, not even fear itself.

LCA: Anything else you’d like to add?

Gilbere Forte: My name is Gilbere Forte, and you are what you believe.
